Disposition:
It is easy to tell if you talk to Corynn for more than a few moments
that he is born from a noble family although he does not carry the haughtiness
which one would expect from a noble. Instead what you find is a sense of
honor and fair play. He treats others with as much respect. He has shed
the expectations of being pampered and has become extremely self reliant
although he is quite able to work with others. Corynn makes no special
effort to socialize with other nobles. He dressed to appear fairly plain
although his cloths are of good quality, if plain, and his weapons are
of the finest quality as well. He knows the value in a good weapon. He
hides his chain mail armor normal under a leather tunic so it is not quite
as obvious.
Like many nobles, he is a romantic at heart. While he is social to
those around him, he really is not attracted to most of the women around
him and unlike many adventures, especially noble born, does not take advantage
of the company of tavern wenches. No, he is not attracted to those of his
sex. Since being a child, he has always been extremely attracted to the
image of the Elven maiden. Not so much the warrior type but the scholarly
type and others who don't live directly by the sword. Of course on a certain
level, it is hard to blame due to the often extra-ordinary beauty of them.
Only time will tell if his heart will be broken or if he will find the
one for him.

Appearance:
Corynn is a tall and a little bit lanky man although is quite muscular.
He has light brown hair which is of a moderate length. He is not fabulously
attractive but is boyishly handsome. This is further augmented by the fact
that he prefers to be clean shaven instead of growing a beard. Grey curious
eyes stare from his face.
Corynn normally dresses in simple leather breaches and tunic. Depending
on how long he has been on the trail depends on how muddy and worn his
cloths normally are. While accepting of the mud of the trail, he cleans
up whenever he has the chance. His preferred colors are simple browns.
Under the leather tunic and legging, he wears a suit of chain mail although
due to his lanky build, it is hard to tell. Before he had the suit of enchanted
chain mail, he wore ring mail armor. The scabbard on his side is battered
and the sword sitting in the scabbard appears quite plain. Of course, the
weapon is an excellent Dwarven crafted blade.

Corynn's History:
Corynn was born in a life of luxury and privilege, the son of a noble family of the Eastern Territory. It was a lesser noble family but they still lived quite comfortably. He was the third born son so there was no real prospect of inheritance. Because of his position, he was never taught the ways of rulership and pretty much allowed to idle away his time. He was never dumb and knew that he would need to find his own place. He never had the calling to become a priest. The priesthood is a favorite choice for children of nobles who will never inherit. At first he planned to become a knight. A knight can earn a lot of gold in tournaments and can even gain titles through war. It never really suited him and he found he loved the wilderness and got his father's trackers to teach him all they could.
The Duke over the territory where Corynn lived died and left the land in turmoil. Eastern Territory is a patchwork of small nations for the most part and revolution broke out. Nobles generally will back one faction or another. Corynn's father backed the wrong faction and found himself without title or land. They had little more than the cloths on their back. The entire family was turned out. The third son was only fifteen at the time but found himself trying to support his family through hunting. His two older brothers took to fighting in tournaments to support the family. Corynn himself signed up on the Wolfen Empire border as a scout.
From the strain of impoverished living, Corynn mother died just two years after the family was turned out. Soon after that, his father had a stroke and soon died as well. Corynn's two sisters found marriages within merchant houses. While far beneath their previous station, it at least gave them some security. The young scout soon lost touch with both of his brothers. They appeared to simply drift from tournament to tournament, with the second born acting as squire to the first born. That was not the path which Corynn wished to follow. By the time he was nineteen, he was by himself.
He had tired of the constant battling on the Eastern Territory border with the Wolfen Empire and decided to simply explore. He had no real ties and wandered for several years. At first his travels were confined to the Eastern Territory itself but eventually he drifted into the Timiro Kingdom. He would often hire on as a tracker and scout. Getting away from his family was like a freedom he never tasted before. No more commitments. He never cared all that much about politics. Unlike many rangers, he prefer a short bow over a long bow. He found that it was far easier to use when mounted.
As time went on, he became extremely skilled and scouted for several parties exploring the ruins in the old Elven Kingdom. He always had a keen interest in elves even as a child and dreamed of meeting and falling in love with an Elven lady. The expeditions seemed to find little but trouble with having to fight off hordes of Orcs and other creatures. Many ruins were found but most had already been destroyed by the creatures now inhabiting the lands. Still, even in ruins many of the marvels which the Elves and Dwarves created are still incredible. Some small caches of coins and other valuables were found but no major discoveries seemed to find their way into the hands of Corynn or his companions. He was able to find a number of magic items on his travels including a set of boots of mystery and a cloak of shadows.
Somehow he found his way into the Western Empire. While adventuring in the Empire, he managed to acquire a set of Gauntlets of Quick Hands. There was a major expedition being formed by a scholar looking for an ancient Elven library which the scholar had been researching. Corynn decide to join the expedition which was heading into the Old Kingdom to find the library. Another companion was a female psi-mystic. Unfortunately, events did not work out the way. The group stopped off at a wilderness town. While it was well fortified, it was attacked by a massive horde of Orcs, Ogres, and Goblins. The town managed to beat back the attackers with help of a summoned elemental but was attacked again that night. Something animated the dead outside of the walls for a second assault. This was also beaten back. While there were no serious casualties in the second raid, it was a near thing. In that battle, Corryn managed to get his suit of enchanted chain mail.
