Wolfen Republic Military Weapons and Armor (Three Galaxies):


In most cases today, the Wolfen Republic uses Consortium weaponry however they previously manufactured and used their own small arms and body armors. When Consortium weaponry was adopted, these small arms were largely sold off as surplus. As such, they can be found th the hands of independent defense forces, mercenary companies, and even adventurers.


Around the time that the Wolfen Republic joined the Consortium, the designation system with regards to small arms was simplified into an integrated system. Before this, the system was considered rather complex. All small arms were given the prefix “WRA” for “Wolfen Republic Armory.”


Compared to weaponry produced by the Consortium, Wolfen Republic weaponry tends to be large but still relatively powerful. In some cases weaponry will not be comfortable for the hands of a human and similar sized users. Even so, most are usually able to be used effective by humans.


Body Armor:

WRA-A-01 Standard Combat Armor:

This armor gives similar protection to the Light Combat Armor but is slightly heavier in mass than the newer armor design. Even so, it gives reasonably good protection and tends to sell as surplus for slightly less than the newer armor design. Those which are sold as surplus has ranking insignias removed and are often painted a single color, either blue, grey, or green.

Arms (2): 45.

Legs (2): 55.

Weight: 22 lbs (9.98 kg).

Penalties: Good Mobility; -6% to climb, and -10% to prowl, swim, acrobatics, gymnastics, and other similar skill rolls.

Market Cost: 25,000 credits.

WRA-A-02 Light Space Armor:

Unlike the later Consortium Jump Suit, this armor is a hard suit design. It does however offer slightly better protection but reduces mobility slightly. Even so, the armor is relatively inexpensive and is popular as an alterative. As with surplus combat armors, these armors has ranking insignias removed and are often painted a single color, either blue, grey, or green when they are discarded.

Legs (2): 20.

Weight: 15 lbs (6.80 kg).

Penalties: Good mobility; -2% to climb, and -4% to prowl, swim, acrobatics, gymnastics, and other similar skill rolls.

WRA-A-03 Heavy Combat Armor:

Heavier combat armor which fills the role of the Consortium Heavy Battle Armor. Usually issued to heavy infantry units. Gives reasonably decent mobility but mobility is reduced compared to standard combat armor. As surplus armor, the armor is affordable and quite popular. As with surplus standard combat armors, these armors has ranking insignias removed and are often painted a single color, either blue, grey, or green when they are discarded.

Main Body: 100.

Head: 80.

Arms (2): 60.

Legs (2): 75.

Weight: 28 lbs (12.70 kg).

Penalties: Fair Mobility; -10% to climb, and -15% to prowl, swim, acrobatics, gymnastics, and other similar skill rolls.

Market Cost: 50,000 credits.

Pistols:

WRA-P(E)-01 Pistol (Explosive Rounds):

This weapon is not an energy weapon but instead fires an explosive round. Fires a 25 mm armor piercing high explosive round. At the time, the Wolfen Empire lacked the technology to build an effective pistol class rail gun. Quite heavy pistol which a human will find impractical and user needs to have a strength of 15 or higher or be at -2 to strike with weapon.

Weight: 8 lbs (3.63 kg).

Mega Damage: 4D6 per round.

Rate of Fire: Standard.

Maximum Effective Range: 800 feet (243.8 meters).

Payload: 8+1 rounds.

Market Cost: 12,000 credits. Rounds are 100 credits each.

WRA-P(I)-02 Pistol (Ion):

Even though large by human standards, it is a relatively light ion beam pistol. It was standard issue for starship crews.

Weight: 6.0 lbs (2.72 kg).

Mega Damage: 3D6.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: 800 feet (243.8 meters).

Payload: 12 shots per short E-Clip or 24 shots per long E-Clip.

Market Cost: 12,000 credits.

WRA-P(I)-02A1 Pistol (Ion - Overcharge Setting):

Modified version of the standard ion beam pistol with the ability to fire an overcharge setting. This overcharge setting doubles output but reduces range. Often carried by vehicle crews and fighter pilots where a heavier weaponry might be considered too large.

Weight: 7.0 lbs (3.18 kg).

Mega Damage: Standard: 3D6 for normal blast. Overcharge: 6D6 for an overcharge blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: Standard: 800 feet (243.8 meters). Overcharge: 400 feet (121.9 meters).

Payload: Standard: 12 shots per short E-Clip or 24 shots per long E-Clip. Overcharge: 6 shots per short E-Clip or 12 shots per long E-Clip.

Market Cost: 25,000 credits.

WRA-P(I)-03 Pistol (Heavy Ion - Overcharge Setting):

Much heavier and powerful ion beam pistol. As with the WRA-P(I)-03 Pistol, it is often carried by fighter pilots and well as vehicle crews in the place of carrying a rifle or a carbine. Weapon is however shorter ranged than the lighter ion pistols. Humans will have a hard time holding this weapon as a pistol due to size and will be at -2 to strike.

Weight: 10 lbs (4.53 kg).

Mega Damage: Standard: 3D6+6 for normal blast. Overcharge: 6D6+6 for an overcharge blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: Standard: 600 feet (182.9 meters). Overcharge: 300 feet (91.44 meters).

Payload: Standard: 10 shots per short E-Clip or 20 shots per long E-Clip. Overcharge: 5 shots per short E-Clip or 10 shots per long E-Clip.

Market Cost: 30,000 credits.

Rifles:

WRA-R(E)-01 Rifle (Explosive Rounds):

When designed, the Wolfen military lacked the technology to make handheld rail guns and this weapon serves a similar role to modern hand held gravity rail gun rifles. Uses the same 25 mm rounds as the WRA-P(E)-01 Pistol but has a longer range and can fire bursts. Requires a strength of 20 or shooter will be -4 to strike with weapon.

Weight: 23 lbs (10.43 kg).

Mega Damage: 4D6 per single shot and 1D6x10+10 for three round burst.

Rate of Fire: Aimed, burst, wild, or three round burst.

Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (487.68 meters).

Payload: 24 rounds.

Market Cost: 36,000 credits. Rounds are 100 credits each.

WRA-R(I)-02 Rifle (Ion):

Was the standard issue rifle of the Wolfen military until replaced by an upgraded model with an overcharge setting. Not in general use due to being considered underpowered generally. In addition, the rifle is considered a bit on the bulky side to be used by vehicle crews.

Weight: 14 lbs (6.35 kg).

Mega Damage: 3D6+6 per blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: 2,000 feet (609.6 meters).

Payload: 18 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 25,000 credits.

WRA-R(I)-02A1 Rifle (Ion - Overcharge Setting):

Upgraded version of the standard combat rifle which adds an overcharge setting. Even though it has been replaced by Coalition rifle designs, is considered far more effective than the original rifle. Still, the rifle is considered a bit on the bulky side to be used by vehicle crews.

Weight: 14.5 lbs (6.58 kg).

Mega Damage: Standard: 3D6+6 for normal blast. Overcharge: 6D6+6 for an overcharge blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: Standard: 2,000 feet (609.6 meters). Overcharge: 1,000 feet (304.8 meters).

Payload: Standard: 18 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack. Overcharge: 9 shots per short E-Clip, 18 shots per long E-Clip, or 180 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 30,000 credits.

WRA-RC(I)-03 Carbine (Ion):

Modified version of the standard issue rifle with a shorter barrel. Has shorter range but similar output. This weapon is often carried aboard ship as a more powerful weapon than the standard issue pistol but more handy than the rifle. Many vehicle crews and pilots also prefer the carbine over a full sized rifle. The handle folds on the weapon to make it more compact.

Weight: 12 lbs (5.44 kg).

Mega Damage: 3D6+6 per blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: 1,200 feet (365.8 meters).

Payload: 18 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 25,000 credits.

WRA-RC(I)-03A1 Carbine (Ion - Overcharge Setting):

Upgraded version of the standard carbine with the ability to fire overcharged blasts. Otherwise, shorter barreled with shorter range than the standard rifle. This weapon is often carried aboard ship as a more powerful weapon than the standard issue pistol but more handy than the rifle. Many vehicle crews and pilots also prefer the carbine over a full sized rifle. The handle folds on the weapon to make it more compact.

Weight: 12.5 lbs (5.67 kg).

Mega Damage: Standard: 3D6+6 for normal blast. Overcharge: 6D6+6 for an overcharge blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: Standard: 1,200 feet (365.8 meters). Overcharge: 600 feet (182.9 meters).

Payload: Standard: 18 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack. Overcharge: 9 shots per short E-Clip, 18 shots per long E-Clip, or 180 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 30,000 credits.

WRA-RS(I)-04 Support Rifle (Ion):

Modified version of the standard rifle which has a longer range but similar output to the standard rifle. Some whom prefer to engage targets from a longer distance prefer this weapon and makes a good snipe weapon in many cases.

Weight: 22.5 lbs (10.21 kg).

Mega Damage: 3D6+6 per blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: 6,000 feet (1828.8 meters).

Payload: 24 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 50,000 credits.

WRA-RS(I)-04A1 Support Rifle (Ion - Overcharge Setting):

Upgraded version of the original support rifle which adds the ability to fire overcharge blasts. Otherwise the weapon has a longer range but similar output to the standard rifle. Some whom prefer to engage targets from a longer distance prefer this weapon and makes a good sniper weapon in many cases.

Weight: 23.5 lbs (10.66 kg).

Mega Damage: Standard: 3D6+6 for normal blast. Overcharge: 6D6+6 for an overcharge blast.

Rate of Fire: Single shot.

Maximum Effective Range: Standard: 6,000 feet (1828.8 meters). Overcharge: 3,000 feet (914.4 meters).

Payload: Standard: 18 shots per short E-Clip, 36 shots per long E-Clip, or 360 with a CAF power backpack. Overcharge: 9 shots per short E-Clip, 18 shots per long E-Clip, or 180 with a CAF power backpack.

Black Market Cost: 60,000 credits.

Heavy Weapons:

WRA-L(R)-10 Launcher (Mini-Missiles):

Large capacity mini-missile launcher which is fed by a huge magazine. Has a total of ten mini-missiles. Looks like a huge bazooka with an external magazine. Magazine is a double stack design. Due to weight, it is usually used in power armors. In most cases, guided missiles are used in launcher.

Weight: 32 lbs (14.51 kg) without missiles or 56 lbs (25.40 kg) with missiles. Each extra missile weighs approximately an additional 2 lbs (0.91 kg).

Mega Damage: Varies with mini-missile type (See revised Phase World missile tables for details.)

Rate of Fire: Single Shot only (Equal to hand to hand attacks).

Maximum Effective Range: Mini-Missile range is 2 miles (3.2 km) in an atmosphere and 100 miles (161 km) in space.

Payload: Ten (10), takes 15 seconds (one melee) to reload launcher.

Market Cost: 65,000 Credits.

WRA-RS(E)-01 Support Rifle (Explosive Rounds):

Modified version of the heavy rifle which fires 25 mm armor piercing explosive rounds. Designed to be able to fire machine gun type bursts as well as single shot and three round bursts. In addition, it can accept magazines but can also be belt fed for a greater payload. Requires a strength of 22 or shooter will be -4 to strike with weapon. Lighter weight than most rail guns but has a shorter range.

Weight: 38 lbs (17.24 kg)for rifle. Ammo belts weight 25 and 50 lbs (11.34 and 22.68 kg) each.

Mega Damage: 4D6 per single shot, 1D6x10+10 for three round burst, or use machine gun burst rules for higher burst settings.

Rate of Fire: Aimed, burst, wild, or three round burst (Use machine gun burst rules for higher burst settings.)

Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (487.68 meters).

Payload: Can use a magazine with 24 rounds or belt fed with 200 or 400 rounds.

Market Cost: 50,000 credits. Rounds are 100 credits each.
